Revitalization Institute
Affiliation with the Revitalization Institute --the alliance for community renewal and natural resource restoration. CA+A is assisting in the ongoing strategic development of the Institute as well as participating in the Affliates network.

The Woodson Place
Investment analysis, project planning and management, and marketing for The Woodson Place, a residential subdivision on 66 acres in rural Texas using conservation subdivision strategies. The model home at the Woodson Place received the highest rating (5-star) from the Austin Green Building Program.

The World Green Building Council
Assisting the World Green Building Council (through co-directing the Green Building Program of A World Institute for Sustainable Humanity) in developing strategy for introducing green building practices in Latin America.

Pearl River County, Mississippi

The Smart Communities Network
Research and development of the information compendium of principles, strategies,
and case studies of resource efficient, or "Green," development. See the

The Blackstone Building; Tyler, Texas
Partnered with Abegg and Associates and the Tyler Economic Development Council to develop a capital campaign strategy to redevelop a historic hotel building into commercial office space.

The Economic Development Board of Sonoma County, California
Designed and managed the development of a database of resource efficient
building products and practices for use by contractors and homeowners in
the Sonoma County building permit facility.

RENEWABLE RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

Financing Renewable Energy Production in Mexico
Collaborated on a study for BANOBRAS to identify best management practices in financing municipal-level renewable energy projects.

New Horizon Technologies
Conducted a series of market assessments of new energy efficiency
technologies for the US Department of Energy’s Inventions and Innovation
Program under contract with New Horizon Technologies. Assessments

Thin-film solar Cadmium Telluride production process
Ethanol Production from an fermentation, esterification, and hydrogenation process
High energy-density double layer capacitor (HDLC) technology for solar batteries
An infrared camera system for process energy efficiency monitoring
 in glass melting furnaces
A thermophotovoltaic electric power generation system using exhaust
heat in glass melting furnaces
A hydro-static transmission system for improved fuel economy in
 heavy-duty trucks

US Forest Service

Beartooth Resource Conservation and Development
Collaborated on a study to assess the available forest residue biomass available in the region and potential markets for economic conversion.

Bitterroot Resource Conservation and Development
Collaborated on an assessment investigating the potential for expanding the Fuels for Schools Program concept to other institutions and industries.

Resource Management Associates
Contributed to a study for the city of New York on the use of recycled glass
cullet as feedstock for glass manufacturing in a thirteen state region in the
North East.

Northwest Area Foundation
Development of the Wage and Benefit Metric web-based analytical tool for the Northwest Area Foundation in collaboration with the Montana Community Development Corporation and Modwest.

National Center for Appropriate Technology/ US Department of Energy
Research to update and expand the information base for the Smart Communities Network. Focus areas include Sustainable Business, Financing, and Land Use Planning.

Capital Integral, S.A. de C.V., Mexico City, Mexico
Strategic planning and information technology strategy for a
business start-up in the US for a Mexican equity investment group focused
on the ecotourism industry.
Information technology and feasibility analysis support for the development of an Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) software product delivered through an Application Service Provider (ASP) business model.

PHILANTHROPY and COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Montana Community Development Corporation
Feasibility study for the Montana Community Development Corporation in
providing a quasi-equity/mezzanine financing product for small businesses in Montana.
Assisted in developing a conceptual framework entitled "The Opportunity Economy" to assist Community Development Financial Institutions in creating regional partnerships to better fulfill their missions to provide loan funds to underserved business populations.

The International Association of Sustainable Businesses and
Organizations (IASBO)

Strategic planning and funding research for A World Institute for
Sustainable Humanity (A W.I.S.H.) to create affiliate organizations in several worldwide locations.

The Golden Gate Biosphere Reserve(UNESCO)
Completed a survey of key stakeholders in the San Francisco Bay Area
to determine preferences for a collaborative management structure for
the Golden Gate Biosphere Reserve. Co-managed the development of the management structure which included representation from nine agencies and a variety of organizations in the fields of natural resource management, scientific research, education, government, and business.
